Whirlpool Corporation has completed the acquisition of Maytag Corporation, an important milestone in our company’s history. The acquisition marks a new beginning; one where our people share a vision to have our products in “Every Home, Everywhere.”

Our suppliers play a critical role in our achieving that vision. Whether a supplier to Whirlpool, Maytag, or both, we can only succeed with a mutual commitment to providing the best to our customers.

Procurement activities for Whirlpool and Maytag operations will continue to operate independently for the time being. Maytag suppliers should continue conducting business as in the past, using the same contacts, systems, and procedures to facilitate transactions. The same is true of suppliers to Whirlpool operations. Any procedural changes will be communicated to you in a timely manner.

A. Maytag suppliers should continue to conduct business as they have in the past, using the same procedures and systems for the time being, including the Maytag Supplier Portal.

A. Business will continue with Maytag suppliers as it has in the past for the time being while we evaluate processes and systems.

Q. How will I be notified of any changes to procurement procedures?

A. Whirlpool believes that open communications between our company and its suppliers is critical to our mutual success. As such, we encourage our suppliers to contact their respective sourcing specialist, buyer, or other Procurement representative with any questions. In addition, Whirlpool intends to utilize the Maytag supplier portal to share procedural updates as deemed appropriate.
