Whirlpool employees, family, friends and community partners joined together on Saturday, September 9 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Findlay Operations. More than 5,000 people attended the festivities, which included a self-guided plant tour with numerous historical displays, games, prizes and free food. There was one photo station featuring “safety dress-up” where people could don personal protection equipment (PPE).

“I am very proud of the accomplishments of our employees both current and retired that have helped us reach this fantastic milestone in our industry. I look forward to building many more years of success right here in Findlay, Ohio,” said Dale Laws, Findlay Plant Lead.

Throughout 2017, the Findlay Plant has been gearing up for the 50th anniversary by participating in numerous community activities. The plant partnered with Habitat for Humanity of Hancock County for their fifth full house build earlier this year. And later this month, the plant will join forces with Whirlpool Corporation’s Ottawa Plant to form a super-sized team for the annual Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure.

Congratulations to our colleagues in Findlay!
