Whirlpool Corporation has always valued the health of its employees. When we talk about health, we don’t just mean the numbers on the scale or the hours spent being active – although those numbers matter. Physical, emotional and spiritual health also matters.
Whirlpool Corporation’s HealthWorks program offers multiple resources to our employees to help them take control of their health and – most important – a support system when needed. Our employees spend a majority of their day with us at our manufacturing facilities, technology and global design centers and at our corporate headquarters. When an individual makes the decision to change their diet, quit smoking or commit to exercising regularly, a strong support system can increase chances for success.
Through a Lifestyle Management program, employees and their dependents can take advantage of free personal coaching from highly skilled lifestyle managers. Individuals and their lifestyle coach work together to identify their personal goals and develop a plan to reach them. Onsite Health Coaches are there every step of the way, available for guidance, help, information and support.
With a comprehensive wellness plan, individuals and their families or co-workers can get on the path to results – and happier, healthier lives.
The program has helped employees within the corporation quit smoking, improve nutrition, manage stress, lose weight and incorporate more exercise into their daily routine.
Onsite Health Coaches organize and promote group activities and challenges as an additional means of support – so employees can work out or face diet challenges with their co-workers. Employees can also make use of several tools and resources including biometric screenings and health assessments.
The road to a healthier lifestyle doesn’t have to be a lonely one. We’re proud to support our employees on the journey – and celebrate their success.
