Early Career Outreach and Recruiting

Whirlpool Corporation engages with students at job fairs, conferences, and student organization events as part of our early career talent acquisition programs in our primary operating markets. Students are encouraged to apply for roles on Whirlpool’s career site which include both early career leadership development programs and direct hire opportunities.

In 2022, we formalized a program with Florida A&M University’s College of Engineering to expand our early career opportunities. As a top rated HBCU and top 40 engineering school, partnering with FAMU allowed Whirlpool engineers and product development teams the opportunity to engage with students on academic pursuits, ongoing development, and career readiness programs. Additionally, a pair of Habitat for Humanity builds sponsored by Whirlpool just a few blocks from FAMU’s campus brought together students, Whirlpool employees, and the community to improve life at home for local residents.
