Juan Carlos Puente

Juan Carlos Puente has been named executive president, Whirlpool North America and Global Strategic Sourcing at Whirlpool Corporation, effective January 2026. Most recently, he served the company as executive vice president and president of Whirlpool LAR North (Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean and the Andean Region), a position he held since April 2023.

Puente joined the Whirlpool family in 1996 and over the past two decades has gained industry and leadership experience in international business, sales, brand and product marketing, new business development and general management positions. By 2008, Puente’s global leadership roles included general manager of the laundry business (NAR), general manager for Home Depot (NAR), president Whirlpool Mexico and vice president of market operations for the EMEA region.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in International Business from ITESM in Monterrey, earned a Global Executive MBA from EGADE Business School, in conjunction with UNC in Chapel Hill, Erasmus University in Rotterdam, Getulio Vargas in Brazil and the University in China in Hong Kong and recently earned an executive leadership program AMP (Advanced Management Program) at Harvard Business School.
