Whirlpool EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) has been awarded for the second year in a row the prestigious Top Employers Italy and, for the first year, Top Employers Europe, having been certified in at least five European countries (Italy, Poland, UK, France and Russia).

The Top Employers certification, which is awarded only to companies that achieve the highest quality standards in the human resources field, recognizes Whirlpool’s commitment to the development and management of its people.

“The people who work in Whirlpool are our real asset, fundamental to successfully face the challenges of our business”– said Ryme Dembri, Vice President Human Resources of Whirlpool EMEA –“Having achieved Top Employers certification in Europe demonstrates our commitment in the training and development of our human capital: we constantly work to ensure that every person is always put in a position to do its job in the best possible way, so that everybody can take an active contribution to our business strategy and ambitions. Being part of such a network will help us continue to learn from others great HR practices and improve further. At Whirlpool we cultivate a culture of change with a winning spirit that distinguishes us in the world.”

This vision includes the implementation of the new Smart Working project, open to all employees who work in the management and administrative offices: in Italy, starting from the first quarter of 2018, a pilot project is leading the transformation of the entire EMEA region, in which a new culture of work organization and an innovative conception of the company’s environment contribute to a more flexible and collaborative working environment.

There are many programs that Whirlpool EMEA offers to its people. These include the Fast Track Graduate Program, an international career path created to train tomorrow’s leaders: 30 months during which it is possible to experience inter-functional and inter-regional job rotations within the European countries in which Whirlpool is present. There are also many projects aimed at attracting and engaging young talents such as #WhirlpoolHacks: a marathon dedicated to innovation in which young graduates and recent graduates compete to solve real business cases.
