Whirlpool Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region was awarded a Transatlantic Award by the American Chamber of Commerce in Italy (AmCham) for its recent acquisition of Indesit Company S.p.A.
The event – the ninth annual Transatlantic Award Gala Dinner – celebrated transatlantic relations between Italy and the U.S. Every year, AmCham recognizes American and Italian businesses that have distinguished themselves in the promotion and development of transatlantic relations. The event was held in Milan, and more than 700 guests attended.
Irene Bellew, vice president, chief legal officer for Whirlpool EMEA, collected the award and gave a speech at the event. Other winners included Accenture, BlackRock, Brembo, Chiesi Farmaceutici, IBM, Mapei and Philip Morris. Special awards went to Friends of the USA Pavillion and Cloud4Wi.
