news-woil-awardOn December 14, 2016 at a glittering ceremony held at Le Meredien, New Delhi, attended by the who’s who of industry Whirlpool India were the proud winners of the First Prize in the National Energy Conservation award -2016, Refrigeration category.  On behalf of WOIL Girish Mukashi, Director PDC NPP and Rajaram Dere, G.M. PDC PRO received the award from Mr. Piyush Goyal, Hon’ble Minister of State for Power, Coal, New and Renewable Energy.
 
The eminent jury awarded the first prize to WOIL for the overall energy conservation initiatives in our Plants. This is part of our Sustainability initiative and has an overlap between the pillars of Operating Excellence and Product Leadership. 
Congratulating the Manufacturing and PDC teams Vikas Singhal, vice president – manufacturing, technology and supply chain Asia South, said, “This is indeed a proud moment for us. Almost all the appliance manufacturers in India had submitted their application and it was WOIL who walked away with the honors. This award is a big recognition of our initiatives in the area of Sustainability and Product Leadership.”
The National Energy Conservation Awards is an annual award organized by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) to recognize Innovation and Achievements in energy conservation.
